Built in 1927 and listed on the Oregon Historical Society
register, The Commodore is Portland's only authentic Art Deco
style apartment building. Sixty-seven studio and one-bedroom
apartments are immaculately maintained with wall-to-wall carpet,
modern kitchens and bathrooms, and ceiling fans. Wi-Fi wireless
Internet access is available throughout the Commodore, as
well as on-site laundry facilities, sauna and rooftop deck.
You and your guests enter The Commodore through a dramatic,
fully furnished lobby with painted ceiling and the original
tile and millwork of architect Herman Brookman, perfectly
restored to its original glory.
Located in the Goose Hollow neighborhood, The Commodore is
just a short walk from any of downtown Portland's vast array
of restaurants, parks, museums, theaters, schools and churches,
as well as the Pearl District and NW 23rd Avenue with their
trendy restaurants and shops.
